This is the return rate test for the injectors... I can't find the cp3 one but I trust Fermanator, your welcome to look through Henry's GM info thread and see if it's in there.

I ran the injector return test as outlined in this post. No return while cranking.I am unable to command fuel pressures, but as soon as I can determine what capabilities I need in a scantool, I will purchase one so I will have more options at home. I've seen other posts that state the cp3 pump may return quite a bit of fuel while cranking, but still cannot find any specs or anything related to testing the pump. I don't doubt the ferminator, I just need to be sure my tests are correct before condemning anything. Again, I appreciate the advice.

Was the pump you purchased a Bosch Reman?

Alot of companies consider there stuff a Bosch reman, but it's a third party reman which is not the same as your OEM Bosch reman CP3. What did you pay for it?

Unfortunately that is not an OEM Bosch pump. Good chance you got a bad pump.

Could send it out to get tested and then try to have who ever you bought it from replace it.

I would like to test it myself. But the only test procedure I've been able to find so far is the return rate test in this post. And it fails this test.

If it fails that test it is faulty!
