I run my LB7 at 600, but I do get more drone. Avoid the 620-650 RPM range as the drone and vibrations will get unbearable after a short time. I rattled all kinds of stuff loose in my BURB with it idling at 640. Also bump up your rail pressure to 35MPA at idle to help keep it from smoking. I tried a 600 idle with the 30MPA idle pressure, and it would smoke white if the air temps dropped below 70 out. Bumped it back up to 35 and the smoke and smell went away completely.

Here is the "stock" B0701 settings from my friends LLY. Because mine is highly modified and installed in a boat, I can't say for certain what is pulling yours down to the low 500's. If yours matches this, it could be another multiplier table lowering it. I also agree with raising the fuel pressure a little at idle, I run 50MPA with the larger injectors. It was way rich due to poor atomization at stock...

Sorry for the late response I turned my idle down to 550 from the factory set 680 and it seems to be fine it don't get cold here and it don't smoke or really smell funny set at 550 and is real quite motor noise wise sometimes when I come up to a stop sign it's so quite I think the motor shut off
