When I bought mine they were 750 but they have gone up.. they are the best way to tune these monsters though.

As for your Alli about 100 HP over stock is about the safe limit

All of us vendors sell them for the same price, it's the customer service, what and how many tunes we send you with them that makes the difference. It will be the last tuner you buy.... guaranteed. As has been said about 100 extra hp at the rear tires is the limit for the stock trans and there are hundreds if not thousands of trucks that have EFI Live with a stock trans without problems. When/if you build your trans you load a bigger tune and go.

If you can wait for the AutoCal to be released it will be a cheaper alternative and will be custom EFI Live tunes for your truck loaded onto a handheld box by your tuner of choice. If you make changes you let us know and we email you updates to your tuning.

I have never used a V-1 the V-2 is the upgrade and what I was told to get at the time I got mine, and you need a laptop for it. there are still a few guys floatin around useing the V-1. I beleive the V-1 can use any comp to load the tune in the V-1 then take it to your truck and load the tune to the ECM.

I could be way off though, one of the old timers will chime in with V-1 knowledge:angel:

A laptop is needed for both the V1 or V2. Sometime in the future you might be able to use the V2 as a stand alone to load tunes off a SD card.

i have a ? about efi live, if i have a laptop do i need to v2?? or just the v1??

Also the V1 does not support LBZ's or LMM's and who know in the future if you might trade in the LLY for a newer truck.

Rather than buying an EFI Live V2 from us for $799 and getting some tunes with with you would buy an AutoCal unit for around $500 (pricing isn't final yet) and you would get the same tunes but wouldn't have the option of tuning your truck yourself. It can be updated through email and is truely custom tuning made for your truck by an EFI Live vendor.
