FYI: Tach signal is ECM black plug "middle" pin 63 Lt Blue wire. Complements of the guys over at PPE.
CORRECTION: Correct pick up for the tach is C3 "gray" ECM plug, Pin 37, white wire.

Ok, so we see that the LLY has "2" [Engine Speed Signal] wires listed in the pinout.

The LB7 pinout lists a single [Engine Speed Signal] wire.

Now I somewhat recall testing both those wires on the LLY with the aftermarket Tach, and the white wire on pin 37 was the only on which worked. Not certain if that DD adapter was actually required or not.. So question is, why does the LLY have 2 pins? And what's the difference? See where I'm going?
While comparing the control wire signals, I would also suggest we compare the signal pattern on Pin 94 - Lt Blue of the FICM, between the LLY and LB7 model. That will knock out the hardwire portion.

Just so happens I need to drop my work vehicle off for some much needed repairs later this morning (4 and 1/2 hours from now) and I will be using my LLY as transportation. I will grab my Verus Edge and bring it with me.
Just keep in mind that compared to the 2 of you, it's no wonder I can even put my own pants on with out assistance...
Well, we don't have any contact cleaner at work... You know in case I need to clean contacts on something at work....Is it alive? Are you going to have to give it some CPR?
Brick, Make sure to get a clean signal while idling and then see if it changes with RPMWant to come in on back side of that Pin94 while truck it running and see what the signal looks like running..
Your welcome to come down here...It would be interesting to see if it keeps running with that pin 94 disconnected. And maybe even see what happens if you disconnect the J1939 lines
