Can anyone say why it seems llys don't have the bottom end kick that lbz and lmms have? Seems like the lbz+ truck can effortlesly break tires loose at low speeds
Even with 450hp tunes. I can run max effort built trans tunes and it barely squeek a tire let alone lay posis. Have ran multiple tunes from various tunes. Seems like everyone I talk to with llys are the same way. Just wonder if its the ecm/ficm design or something else. I have an lbz mouthpiece already which helped but still not like a newer truck

yea but iv tuned lmms that will destroy tires if your rolling at 15mph and crack into it. Seen Llys that have built trans, injectors, etc and still not be able to light them up very fast. Hell, my buddy had a danville 72 and it lit unbelievable on his lbz. just seems no matter how hard you drive the llys with closing the veins down to spool fast and adding a little timing down low NONE of them seem to have the snappiness.

The cp3 is mattering on the top end for more pressure.

yeah just something iv been wondering since if had this lly. my lb7 was a little better than this thing even with a 68 on it. Seems like even with larger chargers like s467 or 472s, they drive and run great but just something about those lbz/lmm combos seem a WHOLLEEEEEE lot funner to drive on the street!:thumb:

Purley from low end torque changes I noted in my boat, it's intake Y and injectors related. Stock parts LLY with 4094 and pro-fab exhaust only, had trouble getting on plane with my biggest prop.
Lowered CR to 16.5, added custom built 3" LB7 Y-pipe, and +45% injector tips, and it came alive. So much I had to torque limit it below 2000.. Just my personal observations.

No joke the OP has a point. My lb7 with a big ass single 72mm has more low end grunt than my fathers LLY rocking a 100hp tune. The lag is terrible. But only lasts a split second

I think a lot of it is in the little injectors. Every lly I have been around with larger injectors is a lot snappier. Most get better fuel economy also....

My lb7 is way snappier than my lbz on the street but doesn't have the torque when towing. Most LLYs I've been around have really touchy throttles but lack the low end pull of any of the others, except maybe the LMLs

Hmm I never noticed any slow response from my lly when it had the stock turbo. Even with a 4094 I could still light it as fast as a stock turbo lbz running same tunes.

LOL they are sluggish, I messed with TLIQ a few times and it willmake it snappy and light like and LBZ or LMM but damn it shifted like shit. seem to take the defuel out. I thought it was going to break something.

That's odd.. I can burn 305 420's and terra grapplers down from a roll or a dig just by slamming the throttle. Like stated the LLY charger is larger and does account for more lag, but mine is no slouch
