LLY 0281 code while Flashing, Won't Start

New to the forum. Just picked up a 2005 Duramax. Bought a GDP Tuner. Tried to flash my tunes. Got the 0281 code, and now the truck won't start. I've been pulling fuses. Unplugged stereo harness, brake controller, light bar. Nothing changes. Talked to GDP and they said I need to send in the ECM to them to have it bench flashed.
Is there anything else I can do. This is incredibly frustrating. Ran great til I tried this.
Also have the tuner plugged in to check firmware...says it's all up to date. Any extra info would be awesome!

You need to verify that your software/hardware is the same version as the tuner. Some tuners run software that hasn't been public released only beta released. I would have the tuner verify if they are running the public released software or if they are running a newer beta software.

Is that something I can check myself? By plugging in the tuner and opening the v8 program?
Just trying to think of things to do right now....but I can call them again tomorrow morning.

You can see what you have for software version but you will have to call the tuner to find out what version they are running.

Unfortunately this is an LLY issue I have seen MANY times. The reason it throws the error code is because the ECM has been erased and was interrupted so it never programmed (hence why it will not start or most likely not even try to turn over). It will need to be bench flashed or put in a buddies LLY truck that you know has a reputation of flashing with NO issues. Full Flash the controller with a clean stock tune file using a V2 and computer, then program full the controller with your Autocal in that same truck. If it takes, simply pull your ECM out and stick it back in your truck. LLYs can be a pain sometimes and others will never give you any issues when flashing. Best of luck.

Black is correct I had a friend recently that had an issue I messed up the code you were getting. The ECM is in a dead pole state and the ECM will most likely need to be bench flashed. I have a bench harness and it took some messing around to get the ECM to take but luckily we were able to save it.

Thanks for the info guys. Pulled the ECM and sent it off to GDP. Should have it back soon....crossing my fingers that everything is ok!
