A turbo gator would be cool...especially out at Schieds. Might want to try a charger off a 4bt, it would be a Holset but not sure of the number.

Sorry, I don't know much about chargers...just my truck has one and it makes a whoosh sound :D

Would a take-off from a Volvo gas-burner be too big?????

I was thinking the same thing. My Saab has a tiny little thing on it. I think my wifes hair dryer puts out more air than that little turbo does. Maybe you can call a few junk yards or do a search for those gas pot turbos off some of the saab, volvo, audi's ect.....

JD had a tiny S200 on some stuff, even had a Deere cast into the housing:D Prolly be perfect. Check Ebay.

Id also look for a diesel Smart car turbo on there.

Its gonna need a tiny hairdryer too spool up! a Gasser one might be hard to get goin.

A gt 12 is plenty big you should be able to make plenty of power with it. When looking at compressor maps multiply lb/min by 10 and it will be close to the hp output. As for pressure ratio 1= 15psi boost 2-30psi 3=45psi at STP. So at a PR of 2 roughly 30psi a G12 in its map will be pushing a motor to 50-100hp, I honestly dont think you will have enough fueling and dislacement to push a GT12 to 30psi. For you application you will definately want something small that spools quick and you should invest in a wastegate.
