KillerBee, I see you listed as a EFI reseller on their website. You don't know how firmware works?

Got Honey?
Even a full flash (OS) cannot be done.

trying different things. I hope to be closing in on this soon. It is the strangest thing I have seen yet with EFILive anomolies. Next up will try a hard bus boot, battery disconnect, which I leave to last, don't like what it does to the rest of the truck.

Is this for an 04 LLY?

I would get similar logs when the shared memory section of the EFI memory space was getting stepped on by another application. In my case it was the OpenOffice Suite. Knowing this, I never run OpenOffice and EFI at the same time, but EFI should be protecting its memory allocation.

If you tried to flash the ECM when EFI was hosed like this, you probably loaded the ECM with garbage.

but what do I know......

Im thinking this is the same truck I was trying to help with earyer today..If not let me know Michael.

Heres what I got:

I had him try a full reflash
a normal flash
I sent him a stock tune with all the cal/OS numbers matching.
Doesnt matter what tune he tries to load.

He is running MS XP as well, not Vista.

He gets about 25% into the flash and then it stops and says the cal may not be correct. then an error message and it says bootblock rejected.

He said he loaded a tune in via EFI then ran it and logged it. Then went to flash the stock tune (which he previously saved the correct way) into the truck and started getting the hang up. The truck does not turn over what so ever.

I had his try plugging in the cables on the v2/laptop/obd port, nothing gets it to work. He tried to pull fuses and still nothing. He checked all the fuses and nothing blown. ECM connections seem fine, he checked them too.

He is a friend of a friend of mine.
Thanks.
