Allison 6sp: Line pressure increase plug

Has anyone used this part to increase line pressure in there LML? Wondering if this plug or BT box would be better. It's for my tuned and deleted 11' LML.

The only other option is a tcm tune or buying another solenoid, but that DRP plug is your cheapest option and will work fine

After seeing the mileage decrease in my brothers LML with the solenoid I'd do the tune. The trans wasn't meant to have that increased line pressure all the time and mileage suffers because of it.

Really? Was that the only thing that was changed? How much did mileage suffer?

I ask because I've installed probably 4 or 5 of these now and never had anyone say anything about losing fuel mileage.

What do you think the tune does over the solenoid? Hint....... Same thing. Never heard of one losing mileage with this mod, including my own LML.

I see some LML builds going south if a builder doesn't see that plug.

From the day I did this mod my fuel mileage went down. No matter how I drive I consistently get high 14mpg. Before this I was seeing mpg in the mid 16's. Nothing else has changed as far as tune or mod's since I did the dummy solenoid

Does the trans tuning change pressure as needed for like WOT or is it just a set pressure that's constant regardless of throttle %?

kory can do it two different ways. a set pressure once it comes off idle, or one that ramps higher with more throttle input. No way could i see it effecting MPG.

I ordered the DRP plug and will report back on mileage after running it for a while.

Solenoid installed in mine and mileage has dropped I travel constantly. Same roads, loads and tuning...both ecm and tcm. Of course winter fuel may be in the tanks now....but I don't see the claims on logs either. :thumb:
