how and what are you guys using for front suspention limiting straps?
ive heard about them but don't know what guys are using. i work in a fab shop so hooks brackets or anything to attach them won't be a problem for me. thanks for any info.

I tried straps, broke all of them. Now I'm using chains. Welded a tab on lower control arm and drilled a hole next to where the top of the shock bolts up.

I've never seen the need for limiting straps on my truck. I was able to get mid to high 1.6 60' times with just regular street tires. Drag radials or slicks would have put it down in the low 1.6 to high 1.5 range.

I ran straps for a while, but now I just have the Tbars cranked all the way down and good shocks up there. no issues even launching with 37s. IMHO straps/chains on a track truck are a band aid that is covering up a bad setup

Only ones I run now are there to actually be sued to keep my suspension from over extending at full droop.

Yes this is true. I have bad shocks that's why I'm running the chains for now. My Tbars are cranked all the way down and I still lift way to high with the chains. I'm just waiting to decide on what shocks I want to go with for sure.

My front tires spin too. Chaining isn't going to help that. You want the suspension to flow to help keep pressure on the tires. Shocks slow and smooth the action (and allow the suspension to store the energy for a very small amount of time in the form of extension). you want to control and manipulate how the suspension works, not have it slam into a chain and jerk the wheel up. A chain up front will in no way help the front gain traction, it keeps you from breaking CVs

Exactly. Some think it is to help for traction when they ask me why I do it until I tell them this .

I know Fox shocks aren't exactly race shocks, but I switch out my blown stockers for a set of Fox 2.0s and dropped a tenth off my 60ft with no other changes. With a few more passes on my setup I think it will go mid 1.6's
