Hey guys shopping for a lift pump for my new lilly. Im looking at the kennedy dual pump setup for price and I like how small they are. I kind of want to put as little money into this truck as I can but I wonder about aeration of the fuel with the kennedys..since its a low pressure high volume setup does it not really matter? I would go with a fass or ad if I could find a used one so if any of you guys have a used one for sale hit me up. But otherwise if I could be taught a little about the kennedys:thumb: thanks.

Save up some cash and get an AD150-AD165
You'll benefit in many ways to run a LP like the AD or FASS that have the dual filter and the more elaborate "pump" design.

Also note, the Kennedy pumps are only good for 4psi ea, so you'd need to stage them to get to the 8psi these trucks like to be fed, and that Kennedy also recommends getting an upgraded draw straw and a larger feed line...

By the time you set up Kennedy pumps the way they would be needed )stacked pumps and the draw straw, hose and fittings, etc) you'd be looking at $500+ easy.

I think the AD150 can be had new for about that, and be a much better "system" to supply your fuel...

Try a search of the forum, use the advanced search function, keep the search to simple key words, it's been covered here many times, once in the last couple week

Welcome!

I have airdog on three trucks. I'm going to Kennedy. I had three airdogs fail. I like that the Kennedy pumps are brushless. And filters on the airdog are expensive. I'm going to run a filter before the Kennedy pumps. I bought two pumps for $395. I believe the kit for the dual pumps is $595

I'm not opposed to running a filtered setup. Ran an ad2 on my old pickup. Dont really want to do anything in depth with a draw straw or sump so I'll probably end up running a fass or ad. Was thinking just plumb in a kennedy and go with it. Thanks for the input.

Nothing wrong with Kennedy's set up I ran dual pumps for years with no issues. One pushing and one pulling through a Cat filter.

I've had an AD165 on my rig for 30k and not had a single issue, so opinions are run rampant I suppose, cuz I'd say they are great, and I don't think $10 bucks is expensive for a filter replacement either, I could care less if there's a filter for $8 somewhere, I'm planning to switch over to Baldwin or CAT anyways.

I've had kennedy dual lift pumps, larger fuel pickup, and mega filter on my pickup for 4 years now and I love them. I can't hear them and they don't hang down like air dog or fass pumps do.
At idle mine are at 7.5 psi.

If I were to get another pickup I would get them before I got an air dog or fass. I see WAY to many of them fail. A friend of mine put a fass on an LML and it failed in a month.

Just my opinion.

Couldn't agree more......Kennedy pumps are quiet, supply plenty of fuel and don't typically fail unless you run them dry.

I never had a problem with my Kennedy pumps. Very quiet, compact, and had enough fuel volume for over 650rwhp. Had them for 4 years and no problems.
