Soon I’ll be raping a short bed 08 LMM of its AD165 and putting it into a long bed 07 lbz. Knowing the tank sizes are different, might anyone know if the draw straw length will still work, or are the tanks different depths?

Thanks!

I would imagine the tank heights would be the same, wouldnt they? Frames were essentially the same, GMT-800 to -900. Ben proved that years ago.

I really don’t know. The long bed tank holds something like 34gals vs 26, but I don’t know if they are the same depth. !

I was thinking about the stock sending units....both size tanks used the same one, so stood to reason the draw straw would be the same length.

I had that idea too, but since they are calibrated differently, I wasn't like I could verify the same part number for both. :)

I wouldn't just install the draw straw without at least verifying it is the correct length. They need to be trimmed to length as it is, so there isn't anything to say it was cut too short to begin with.
