Lift or go fast parts

Well I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I have an 07 LBZ CC/SB with 122,000kms eventually I would like to get the BDS 4.5" lift. As of right now my add ons consist of:

4" AFE exhaust
Edge CTS tuner
MBRP down pipe (waiting to install)
EGT sensor (waiting to install)
LML driver manifold (....)
Resonator delete
PPE modded airbox
Sinister Cat fuel filter with a 0749 filter
EGR blocker plate with finger stick

I've also got spyder halo headlights with HIds and led taillights

I've got a set of XD 801 crank 20's with 285/60/20 duratracs that I want to throw on they are 8x180's though so I ordered 1.5" adapters for th front and 2" for the rear.

The plan was level it with cognito UCA's, rare parts tie rods, Cognito PISK get an S&B intake and call it a day for now although the axle angle that I'll have still bugs me.

The dilemma is I found the lift kit I want for a sick deal the sick deal being the same price American but in Canadian lol I would still get the PISK and tie rods but probably skip on everything else for now. I'm just unsure of it, lots of money to spend lol what do you guys think.

Eventually I'll be getting EfI live and hopefully building the trans but maybe just a transgo jr for now. Any and all opinions appreciated

I'm sorry but lifted trucks are gay... If you want to go fast then that's what you should do imho

Build the transmission and add a pump rub kit for the T-case and address the IFS first, get some good tuning and see what you think abut everythin then...

If youre gonna do ANYTHING
Whatever you do...DONT LEVEL OUT OR ADJUST THE T-BAR BOLTS UP!!!

I lifted my truck, no penny spared...gears, add a leafs instead of blocks, cognito NTBD etc

I still want a lowered dmax so bad it almost hurts, but i wouldnt give up my lifted dmax for anything

The main reason I wanted the lift was for better angles mainly on axles, I am more a fan of just a slight level plus I don't want to have it to high to make a pain for getting things in and out I plan on having my bike out lots this summer so the lower the better really haha but need clearance for some stuff also. I decided to go with out the lift ended up ordering

BD driver exhaust manifold
S&B intake
Transfer case pump rub kit
Cognito UCA's
Rare parts Tie rods
Cognito PISK
Bilstein 5100 shocks

I know levelling by cranking isn't the best but I'm going to go with what I've got and see what happens I'll try to be conservative with it lol. Just want these 20's on with not a massive amount of trimming. EFI live and trans this summer hopefully.

I'll start a build thread in the proper section once I receive parts and have time to put everything together!

Thanks for the opinions and info!

Instead of lifting and suspension you should build the driveline. Lift pump. Trans build. Efi live. Once the driveline is built then lift

I love the look on peoples faces when a truck sitting on 35" mudd terrains lights em up at 25 mph as it slides sideways past them. The vast majority of the cars on the road can not outrun a duramax even if its just tuned. I say lift it if thats what you like. My 15 was on 35"s within 265 miles of purchase

You need to decide for yourself what's more important to you first. I did the torsion keys and blocks first, tires and wheels, box tuner. I have since upgraded to efi live and now saving to build the trans. Then I will lift it to level my angles out and firm up the front end.

What's so bad about cranking the T bars some?

And my vote, go fast parts!:D

I had mine cranked and its too hard to make sure both sides are the same, unless you have an alignment rack with ride height. I ended up getting torsion keys and left the bolts a little snug when I rebuilt the front end and full alignment.

Its hard on front end parts and you can rarely get a straight 4x4 launch.

Launching issues aside, Never had a problem.

Torsion keys and turning the bolt do the same thing. Index the bar. An alignment is required anytime you do either.

Or get massive wheel hop! Mine did it so bad once I thought there would be parts laying on the track...

Been there done that! Lol, tried a truck pull with torsion keys and blew a cv everywhere. Later I found I had cracked the other one. Sleeved tie rods bent right after the sleeve. The truck started hopping and the tires wobbled in and out. It was pretty nasty. I never broke anything on a boosted launch though….truck just pulls around more. Cant wait to get a lift and set it around 4" for level joints and stock keys. If you're not doing truck pulls or boosted 4x4 launches you'll be fine. Yeah, you might wear out the upper ball joints faster. I got the cognito UCAs for that.
