Another thought. As some folk know, I pushed hard to get EFILive out there in the diesel kingdom. Why? If EFILive is a huge success, then they will continue to develop cool tools for our trucks. Don't think about it as a price increase, but rather an investment in our trucks.

While it sounds like brown-nosing, it's not. I don't sell EFILive or do tuning currently. I just don't have the time to spend on the dyno like I used to. But I do own 4 Dmaxes and like to have to high-end tools to tweak them.

It's NOT Measuring up! ;)

It is pretty amazing that for $125 bucks you can double your HP but then you gotta know what your doing or steal from someone, buy a Lap Top ,a air intake, lift pump,a exhaust, a Transmission to use the power then rods, pistons, and so on and so on you Brown Nose'r! :roflmao:

Re-do your math! :D

Sure, to end up with a stable 500rwhp Dmax it costs a LOT more than $125.

If a supercharger kit for your gas pickup is $4000, and will double your HP, it still requires other supporting mods. Pistons, rods, tuning, exh, fuel pump, trans.

Or if I put on a 250HP harness box on a Dmax, that harness box still needs the supporting mods as well. Harness box, $400>$1000 depending (nor can they hit the 250),

No matter what the cost of the power-up, there will always be supporting mods at a given HP level no matter how that power gain occurred. The $125 for raising HP 250 can't be matched.

I know I'm just busting your ass. No doubt EFI is at $125 license is mind blowing cheap for what you get. There is NO comparison! So no one should balk about a small increase which is mostly being absorbed in currency exchange anyway.

Just the EFI alone pricing and the scan tooling and logging capabilities compared to a Tech II. No doubt things wouldn't be possible with out it for the average to above average hot rodder.

Carry on. I still think your a BN :roflmao:

I will admit, that if EFILive stops at 2010 support (LMM), it will suck.

I remember when there was a major Dmax shop that stopped at 2004 (LB7 only). They were on the top of the heap in 2005, nearly all the fast guys ran his stuff, now I heard the guy is selling oranges on freeway ramps.

I don't want the EFILive folk to sell oranges ...

Why do you think Cummins is now supported?

They saw it coming to a end for the Duramax.

I spent years prodding the EFILive team to do the Cummins, and perhaps feel a bit guilty about it. I'm not sure it's taking off like the Dmax, probably since many Cummings guys are less than average intelligence. I mean seriously, they bought a Dodge, right? How bright could they be?

Stream licenses are the way to go...its so nice to be able to bring it with you and tune any truck anywhere without having to worry about purchasing a license etc..

Of course the downside is that your V2 becomes very valuable and expensive to replace...which is why Ive never let mine leave my sight since I purchased stream licenses. Because you're then out thousands and thousands of dollars....not just $799

Mr Hot and Dangerous,

I wouldn't think a Stream Licenses is the way to go for the novice. Even someone that tunes a couple trucks. I seen the price of that app.

I'd say you'd have to be in the business with a good solid stolen base-line tune to configure and call your own like some we know before shelling out that coinage! :D

So I don't see it being brought up.
