I can't find any threads about any price increase anywhere...I agree it is still reasonable I just was not aware. I had 3 trucks to do (already quoted) so a $25 increase per tune does cut into the margin....no harm though

Product Price Change

As EFILive is a New Zealand company we are subject to currency fluctuations occurring between US dollars (in which EFILive products are sold) and local currency.
With the global economic situation of the last couple of years there has been a vast (in excess of 30%) change in currency conversion rates. During this period EFILive has retained consistent pricing, absorbing the fluctuation. However we are now forced to review product pricing across the board. It should be noted that there has been very little change over the last 5 years to EFILive product pricing, so a change was inevitable sooner or later simply due to inflation.
Revised pricing comes into effect on Monday 12th September 2011. Current product pricing is available on "in stock" product only. Current pricing will not be applied to back-orders or out of stock items.

Amendment to VIN Rebate Program

The VIN Rebate program allows you to purchase VIN licenses as you need them. When you have tuned enough vehicles to know that a Stream license is warranted, you can "cash in" your VIN licenses for a significant discount on one or more Stream purchases. That way you can start tuning right away but still delay your decision on whether to purchase VIN or Stream licenses until you know how many vehicles you need to tune.
From the 12th September 2011 for each VIN license that you have purchased, EFILive will rebate $80 of the cost of those VIN licenses as a discount on any Stream purchase, up to a maximum discount of 50%. Note that VIN licenses which are included with a Tuning Option are not eligible for rebate.
An example:
You purchase a FlashScan V2 with GM Tuning Option package. Over the next 6 months you purchase another 15 VIN licenses to tune customer's vehicles. You decide that it is time to upgrade to an E35 Stream license. The E35 Stream license allows unlimited tuning of any E35 (LBZ/LMM) controllers.
Through the VIN Rebate Program you are eligible for a discount of $1,200.00.

Here’s how the example discount was calculated:
  • $80 per VIN license is: $80 * 15 = $1,200.00.
  • The discounted price of the E35 Stream will be: $2,399.00 - $1,200.00 = $1,199.00
The discount of slightly more than 50% is allowed, due to rounding.

IMO, from an outside perspective, it's still the best bang-for-the-buck and a true bargain in the hotrod world. It's pretty easy to gain 250HP with a Dmax license hence .50 cents per HP. Nothing else can touch that, or even come close.
