Well, that's a good question...I'm not sure
I just remember Brian gettin all jacked when he had it done and he posted the name "blurple" and it made me laugh and stuck in my mind

Chrome base coat, then purple with metallic flake as top coat, nothing special, way better than "ATS" purple, mine is better

Steve had the color before me, both him and one of our friends in SoCal had it before me as well, I just ran with it
