I'm wanting to install a light bar somewhere below the grill on my 04 GMC Sierra to where it will not stick out any. Basically flush with the bumper or wherever I could put it. It's either going above or below the Case IH tag (see pic) in the bumper valence/air am. Which one do you think would be the brightest and look the best? Also, what size bar would I need? The truck is on a 3" lift. Need some opinions!!

My brother has one I mounted in the lower hole on the bumper. 20" single row and it looks great and functions great. Lifetime led brand. buy from a reputable place, Amazon light bars are what you pay for..

Gmclbz..

I know exactly what your saying because everyone and their mom around here has a light bar these days.

However on his truck and the wife's old cruze I hooked them to the high beam for better visibility on back roads.

Have any of you been harassed for not running a front plate or does your state not require it?
This state does but I don't have one on any vehicle. Except the commercial ones. I've never had an issue. Honestly I've gotten more crap driving through new york than here.

A 20" LED light bar should fit in the front bumper opening. Rigid brand is the best yet a bit pricey. There are cheap ebay LED bars but make sure you choose the one with CREE LEDs. I also recommend flood lights unless you do high speed racing, spot beam is better.

I wish that they would come out with a true fog light. Flood lights are too bright in all directions and blind the oncoming drivers. I have tried the Piaa brand LED fog lights and they are crap. My parking lights are brighter than the Piaa's, so I took them off my truck and put them on my wife's Fiat 500. Even her DRL/Turn signals are brighter than the Piaa's.
