Led Bar in grill

Anyone have a 30inch led bar behind their grill on a 2005-2007 classic? I took it off my old truck before I sold it but it's a little tighter in there now and idk if the heat would be something to worry about?. Or should I just mount it outside the grill area somewhere.

This is somethin I've been wanting to do for a while now...mount an LED light bar behind the grille! Others have done it..

I figure you can fit a curved 36"er behind the grille with ease on on 05-07 classic body, although I think a 30-32"er would look proper

I don't believe heat will be an issue, well, it shouldn't be much of an issue considering you'll more than likely be using the light bar at night and while in motion...

After I'm done with my projector retrofit, the light bar is next

this was my 1500. I was just worried about blocking airflow to trans cooler I'm thinking about maybe putting in bumper too. Idk yet.

When I lived in Louisiana I could put mine on and not see another car forever, but I could see the deer on the side of the road. Same concept as high beams, turn them off for oncoming traffic.

It's definitely for side and dirt roads, when we head back to camp after hunting it's nice to light up the dirt road up into the camp.

+1 on that. I say if there is no oncoming traffic, you can never have too much light during the dark nights.

Does it make a difference in trans temp or anything having it mounted in grille? That's the only thing that I'm worried about mainly.

To those who have LED bar in the grill, what brand did you get? heard good things about he Rigids but they are quiet pricey.

I have a domination lighting 30inch and it's pretty good. First one I got had 2 leds out but they sent a replacement for free

How did you mount it up top?

We welded up three steel pieces and bolted to the stock grille. It worked marvelously
