I've got about 6000 miles on my falken wild peaks and they are about 35% tread left. Tires just don't last long on a throttle happy diesel.
Oh I know, I just could not believe she got them replaced under warranty. It is pretty obvious what happened to them.
So the wife drag races our 09 all year and does this to a $1,000.00 set of Michelin MS/2 tires
They have about 26,000 miles on a 70,000 mile tire, she goes to the tire shop today and they give her a brand new set for $460.00 under the tred warranty:roflmao:
Where in Wa do you live? Cuz I'd let your wife drive my truck into the tire shop if she could make that deal for my tires! They're about $500 a piece
It'd probably be a little more difficult on my set tho...I've got about 6k on the tires, the rears are close to having only 35% left... The fronts look almost brand new

Hell, I thought you were mad at her for tearing the tires up. Small price to pay to have fun. I wish my wife liked drag racing. She'd kick ass at it.
You should see my Toyos from running chronically underinflated at the track for a couple years.
Hell no I was there and watched her do it, she had almost 300 launches on those tires. I just told her the race season was over and she better get a new set of tires for the winter. Slicks don't work real well in Wa winter weather. She told me she wanted to do it so I said what the hell you only live once, I could not believe she did so well her first year. We will be running two trucks next year if everything goes as planned.
Actually at the small tire shop here if you pay for road hazard the tire replacement price comes out of the dealers pocket... I did this once and felt bad so I never did it again.
as for this driving prices up whytry, one set doesn't influence the price of a tire, though I sure would not post about it on the interwebby...
We have all done it, hell gm payed for a bent axle in my last lbz it was my stupidity that bent it but I didn't tell them that.
