Leaky trans. HELP NEEDED

Well guys, I am out of options. :angry5:

I replaced the front seal, pump o-ring, two copper washers, all 10 rubber washers for the pump, and the two large gaskets and I still got the leak.

I made sure I used plenty of lube when installing the o-rings, used a press on the seal for even pressure, and torqued everything to spec. The truck sat for 2 days without moving (installing other parts) and there were no leaks. Then I drove the truck 10 easy miles and the fluid was just barely around the round dust cover. Wiped it up inside the cover and what I could reach with my finger.

Drove to work and home (30 miles) and there was more fluid inside the round dust cover again. It seems to happen when the trans heats up-110 or more.

I am pretty much out of options as to what to do now. I will prob drive it until next summer when I can pull it again, unless something goes between now and then.

Even so, I don't know what else to check. Cracked housing maybe? Do the two plastic stator seal rings have anything to do with this? Maybe the Precision converter isn't making a good seal?

I don't know. Pretty bummed, that's for sure.

Did the inside of the bell housing show any signs of fluid spraying? Was there fluid on the front of the converter where it bolts to the flex plate?

I didn't notice any spray around the inside, like if the converter had a crack, and in the pic the backside was clean too.

The only thing I did differently was install the front seal slightly below flush. I figured as it was slightly recessed the first time(factory installed) I removed it, flush the 2nd time, I would recess the third time.

The red in the second pic is where I can see dampness through the round hole. The yellow/green is where my finger can feel quite a bit of fluid through the dust hole (like pull my finger out and it drips once or twice).

Any thoughts if the two shaft seal rings could be causing this? I did replace the old ones with new ones from the rebuild kit in August.

Also, is there a way for some sort of pressure to build up and blow by the front seal?

They would not cause an external leak.

I doubt it.
