Damn that's crazy. Wonder how they managed to screw up that bad. You didn't possibly have the gasket on wrong did you? I remember when I installed my headers/up pipes the gasket had to be on in a certain direction for it to line up with the ports the right way. But it would line up with the bolt holes either direction. Probably not your issue. But just thought I would throw it out there.

Triple checked gasket position. They would pretty much only fit one way.

Factory gaskets had the same size gap.. Kinda figure someone got the dimensions wrong..

About 2 weeks after we got these headers the builder fell off the face of the earth. I'm starting to see why.. We shoulda known there would be problems when it took 3 months to get them.

Find the guy that built them and beat him over the head with them.

Lucky to still have the factory stuff.. Up to Segar if he orders some we will stick em on!

That does sound like a good idea! Those things have caused us a lot of trouble!

And the only thing I plan on ordering for a while is a Bloody Mary and a few Budwiesers!:spit:

How in the world could someone build headers for a Dmax and not match the gaskets first?

Now don't beat me over the head b/c of this suggestion, but could you possibly make your own gaskets to cover those ports so your money isnt wasted??
You guys have got to know a machine shop who could create something that would work.

Tom, I had the idea but if you look at the part of the gasket that has flange behind the opening it would block part of the port no matter what.

Yeah those headers need to be hacked up to be made right. Better off to trash them.

Who ever cut the flanges f'ed up, then the builder never check them or said f it, I'm building them and sending them out like this.

Yeah, I went back and looked at the pic again, and a different gasket wont help that last port.

Who made them? It would be wise to know that info so nobody else gets ripped off.

Yea gaskets won't help any. The front port just barely catches the gasket.

I'll report back on the builder today. As far as I know they are no longer in buisness.
