right, no need to drop cross member. just take the trans mount off and go with it

NK: when I pulled my t-case for the pump rub I didn't have to pull the cross member. I don't have the trans brace so I don't know how that affects the working room. Just a tip for a little less work.

No "need" to drop it. But the "L" safety brackets and tcase skid are already removed.

I just want to remove it to have better access to the lower bolt on the tcase.

I hate getting 1/8th turn at a time when a combo is the only thing thatll fit in there

It will work fine if it is round. You only showed half the gasket. The 2 ring gaskets are the cheepo gasket.

This is the updated gasket. It is the correct one.

It's the wrong dang seal. There are 6 holes but they are off by about 6"

Yeah, we flipped and spun and rotated every which way, still never got it to line up.

Regardless is the fact that my coworker stuck his finger through a hole and ripped it out.....so I will be getting another tomorrow

Does that have anything to do with the one tab on the gasket? There is a tab on each of them but I don't know of there is any purpose for it

I also found my factory seal from about 6 months ago. Doesn't line up with the new one either

There is a blind hole at 1 o'clock on the housing and the tab covers that hole.

Alright, I just got home from the dealership and they said the gasket I had was stamped wrong. We compared the other one on the shelf, my old one, and the one I got yesterday and it was off compared to both the others

New seal is working!

Been about a week no issues.

Next time I have to do anything to the tcase I'm buying a whole set of ranching combo wrenches. Or atleast the 13 and 15mm.
