Hey Guys! i am new too this forum so i hope im in the right place.
okay so i have a 2003 lb7 and i noticed i was leaking oil and after some research i found out that i was leaking fuel into the crankcase causing it to leak out oil/fuel. i took it to the mechanic of the place where i bought the truck and told him what i suspected was wrong. he said that i was right and that the truck needed two injectors and fuel rails because they were corroded. i saw that they were so they were replaced and when completed i picked up the truck and it didnt have much fuel. not even one mile down the road i ran out of fuel. i checked under the truck and it wasnt leaking oil/fuel like before it was leaking straight Diesel right under the engine and quite a bit. i had it taken back and long story short i did some research and figured it had to do with his install of the injectors and fuel rails because it was not doing this before. the injectors that were replaced where on the driver side. when i went to talk to him he said he thinks the leak was coming from the passenger side. i told him i think it had to do with his work on the truck. he says he will pressure check the lines. so the next day he messages me and says after doing a pressure check we are losing pressure doe to a vacuum pump on the passenger side of the engine we need to start disassembling some things to be able to locate it and that he will keep in touch. he says he saw somthing on a gm bulletin that talks about two vacuum pumps that need updated o rings after fuel delivery components are installed.
so my question is does he really know what hes doing? how can this cause a fuel leak? was it his fault?
Thanks to Anyone that can Help!
