My 02 6.6 would start idle for a minute then die. I had just filled up so thought it was bad fuel. I has been very cold. I put it in the garage to warm up added fuel treatment. The next day started up ran good. As I left to pick my kid up from school it would just idle. I went the 5 miles going slow just idling home. I figured it was a plugged filter so I changed that. Ran great went 50 miles to pick up feed ran great. Then I noticed fuel dripping off the tranny. My question is would driving it that little ways with a plugged filter hurt something else. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Did you remove the old O-ring and the WIF sensor gasket when you changed fuel filters? Is the replacement filter threaded on correctly, with the O-ring intact and positioned properly?

could be coming from the fuel line connections by the drivers side firewall or a chaffed fuel line. is there any fuel puddleing in the valley of the engine?
