Had some time to work on the truck tonight so started off by doing a boost test. Your gonna laugh but I did the same thing as brian...went to open the regurator on the compressor and the pressure shot up to prob 40ish before I could run back and turn it down! anyways got it all back together and kept it at 15psi found out I had a leak at the egr, not suprised.

So my question now is what's the best option for flow? I just wanna but stuff for this once and not buy stuff then have to sell for better, my plan is all season 3" bridge to get rid of the egr with more flow and 3" boot tubes while I'm at it. But would like to hear what you guys have to say and your experiences on this eventually I want to build this motor so want stuff that will support some high hp #'s. Please feel free to tell me what you think is the best, I included some pics so people can do the same or for refrence.

loves park, ill
I ran pro fabs 3 inch bridge and egr delete kit. In my opinion it worked great, it did ride pretty snug to the alternator but was good. Ive seen all seasons kits and to me there pricey but for what your getting i guess you cant go wrong. Ive seen these where they ride pretty high up, even rubbing on the hood so i guess it all comes down to who you want to go with in the end. Both great products

Get up with Joe at Huron Speed. He does excellent work. I just installed a EGR delete kit on a LBZ and it is probably the cleanest kit you can by. His kit will have a uppipe to exchange with yours and gets rid of the plate. Fitment was better than the one that I did from Profab. For what you get his is also probably the best for the dollar as well. If you plan to go with a aftermarket charger don't bother changing it until then so you don't waste your money.

The 4094 that I have now is what I'm keeping to build around, does his kit have a full bridge? I looked on his site and didn't have any pics...I do live close to him so I could prob just drive there and get it

Joe has what ever you would like. His delete kit will be piping, water hose, clamps, braces for the pipe connection at the factory bridge and uppipe. You can not move the pipe with the braces and clamps in place. The elbow will not blow out with his kit. He will do a bridge if you would like with all intercooler piping. Joe is as good as they come at fabrication and customer service. Custom work is turned around really quickly compared to most.

well if you don't cap off and isolate the intercooler system, wouldn't it leak out form the exhaust/intake valves...?

Negative, there is no over lap on the cam....maybe you are thinking of a big cam on a gasser but when its off all the valves are closed. So I wanted to leak test the entire system not just the ic

Last time I leak tested my system and told people that I did it like this, they told me I was crazy and that it doesn't work. I argued the crap out of it and no one believed me. Hilarious.

It will bleed through to the exhaust system. $100 says if you cap the exhaust off and put a gauge on, it will build pressure. How else do you suppose one can leak test the whole system. Every cam I've dealt with has overlap to some extent.

I'm not saying what you did won't work, but you're losing air.

You only need to use regulated air supply and it will maintain the pressure you set. It doesn't matter if it leaks out the exhaust. The system will be pressurized to want you set and then spray any connections with soapy water. You will find any leaks that you may have. Simple and easy.
