Lbz with PPE issue

Hey guys, I have done exhaust, intake, and tuned my 06 lbz. When I go to do the quarter mile, I spool up my turbo, and when I go to launch it drops all rpm, and starts off the bottom end. Is this a tranny thing? To keep it safe? Seems like a waste to spool up if its not going to hold that boost.

what tuner (econo, standard, Hot+2 e.t)are you running of ours? what tune level? Have you had any brand of tuner on this truck other then ours since it was new? Any codes?

It's the PPE standard set at level 3. This is its first tuner, and I'm not getting any codes.

is your truck 4x4 or 4x2? if its 4x4 does it make a difference if your in 2wd or 4x4?

its a 4x4, and theres no difference. just seems like i have to take a rolling start, then she really rolls coal and noone can touch me! :thumb:

He has 3 posts and just joined this month. I'm thinking he was quite serious. And this isn't a knock on PPE either. I just installed a PPE standard on my buddy's LLY and it runs nice and smooth with plenty of power for the stock tranny.

What is the 8th digit in your vin number? is it a 2 or D?

Haha no, it's not that no one touchs it either. It is a good improvement though if I can ever get it to hold its boost when I launch.

Is it just to start or between shifts also? Could be a defuel

Did you do all the mods at the same time? Intake exhaust and tuner?

its only off the start. Once im rolling it shifts firm and holds its RPM. I had done the exhaust first, and did the intake and tuner at the same time a couple months later.

Check and make sure you have the intake attached properly, if your pulling air between the MAF sensor and the turbo it will be very laggy, also the MAF sensor may have been damaged when you swaped the intake.

good call. i checked the connections, but i havent pulled the sensor. i was careful with it too when i did the install. that should throw a code too shouldnt it?
