LBZ w/ steering column gauge pod: what a pain

This was a pain in the a$$(molding, melting, massaging) but well worth it. A few pics to follow.

I was also trying to mold a pod onto the other side but there isn't enough room for that.

I will have to find a different spot for the other gauges.

Really? According to Autometer's website and about 100 threads on the DP, the column will not fit 04 to 07 classics. The steering column cover changed, and the countour did as well. For some reason, they chose not to make it for the updated column. So, your only choice was to hack up an 01-02 style to make it fit. So, all things considered, he did a pretty nice job. So, unless someone shows me one for that generation of trucks, they aren't available.

I bought an autometer on and wated to put my boost gauge in it. I tried to make it work but it just ended up looking like shit. The fit was nowhere near close.

Bad excuse Autometer can't make a mold to make that model of pod. For all they sell and all the trucks out here it would sell. Don't get it.

Exactly my point. Whenever the column change(somewhere between lly and lbz from what I can tell) it won't work w/o modification.
