My buddy just had his trans built with a PPE kit, PPE up pipes and manifolds, intake, 5" exhaust, PPE intercooler, dual fuelers and the Xcelerator tuner. I raced him tonight with my LBZ with just an EFILive tune and exhaust and beat him twice from a roll at 30 by 2 truck lengths up to 100 and I beat him by 3 truck lengths from a dig.

I have 2 inch bigger rims and 2 inch bigger tires than he does as well.

What's going on?

A stock LMM turbo can only produce enough air to handle 1 CP3. Plus the fact, that you probably have a better running tune with EFI Live.

What is his configuration?

Too many variables, the lmm definitely has one up if he really has done the work listed. He just needs tuning to match the mods.

Your buddy has all that work done and is running a PPE tuner??? Why doesn't he have it tuned?? It will be alot better.
The truck had all those things installed this week and it was all buttoned up on Thursday. He took me for a ride in it and I was expecting more so I told him I wanted to line up.
who has the LMM?
White CCSB all colormatched with 20" Black Chrome Badlands, he belongs to the tribe.
Which tunes were you both running?
I was running a neens tune that I've changed up quite a bit. He just had PPE send him a new update for all of his modifications. The guy that installed everything told him he was pushing 1000hp :rofl::rofl: I laughed as soon as he said that and told him he had maybe half that.
x2...if I had all that money into it I'd go EFILive

PPE does also do custom tuned excellerators..im assuming thats what he has...
That's what impression I was under.

I told him if he paid for the license I'd take a crack at tuning it. I'm worried about melting something though. He said if it did he would just do an engine build.

Stock turbos, his being a CCSB and an LMM. Mine being a ECSB and an LBZ classic body style. Hmm.

A couple hundred pounds (maybe not even... toolbox with a bunch of tools in it in my truck) and aerodynamics FTL.

I just wasn't expecting that result at all. Maybe him beating me by 3 truck lengths seems more appropriate?

I just don't know where to start with his tune, I've tuned mine for hours and hours but never an LMM.
