A buddy of mine just installed 180 over injectors in his 06 (I believe) cummins. As far as I know its got a lift pump, the injectors, built trans, and its tuned. Do I have a chance if we line up for a 1/4 mile run?

That sounds more accurate, that slice of info came from a 3rd party, another buddy who isn't a big light duty diesel guy
Without a lift pump you won't be able to run less than a mid 13. You will prob loose. If you had a Trans and lift pump I'd say go for it...... with max tune.
If he's not using a lockup box, that's going to hurt him on the first half, but he's gonna pull hard the second! Lol
You'll be looking at his taillights the entire time. You cant run a hot enough tune without a built trans to compete with him.
It's just gonna be a fun race, no bets on anything after what I've read so far on here. But yeah I'm working towards a built tranny right now, hopefully this summer it'll happen
Yeah just race him. He could make a newb mistake or brake his truck lol. There's always a chance. But if it all goes smooth for both id say ur whooped. Or u can do a bunch of mods before the race and not tell him:secret:
any given sunday is my motto with racing ive beat 1000 rwhp trucks cause they mess up on the line and ive lost to a stock trans truck lol I forgot I had my 2nd gear launch tune for pulling in and lets just say I waited till he stage to spool and ya was only 400' dirt drags so couldn't reel him in on time :roflmao:
Hell I have lost to a 06 once. It was when I first got my truck and I boosted too much off the line and spin most the way.
I figure I'll turn it up to 5, tow/haul on, air down and let it eat. Best case scenario he screws up his launch and I get an early lead that I can somehow maintain, worst case scenario he wins, which really is just motivation to get more go-fast parts. Either way I'll post up with results after it happens.
