Hey guys,
I just had my up-pipes balloon. Literally bent the flanges of the up-pipes. Stock fuel truck with Danville turbo. Anyway to prevent this?

Lower drive pressure, lower EGTs, or stronger up-pipes.

Since lower drive pressure usually means turning down the power or buying a new turbo setup, getting stronger up-pipes is an attractive option.

I wouldn't think a stock fuel truck has the potential to do this. It's just a stg2 3794 and stock fuel. Do vgts really create this much more drive pressure? I thought by me getting a larger vgt it would flow more air helping relieve drive pressure. Making 35-37 psi of boost.

TX of course
You’re probably too aggressive with your Vane table producing too much to drive pressure. Only way to know is to get a drive pressure gauge after you get the truck fixed.

Corbin, can you post up that pic plz?

Yes, Danville tunes. This tune is the turned down one, because when I asked for more it drained rail pretty good lol oops.

Trucks fixed already too. Just drill and weld a bung in one of the up pipes?

Get some copper brake line and coil it to a guage or you guys have a better idea?

Vanes definitely aren't stuck, turbo has less than 1000 miles on it. No boost leaks.
