I have dynoed 670hp on a Superflow (stingy dyno) i have picked up somewhere between 10-30hp after fixing a big exhaust leak and my engine seems to be holding well. Anymore power and IMHO all bets are off

damn it, i better stay off this site now since your a mod! this could be bad :roflmao:
you're a pansy my truck only ever sees a race tune
As well as the driveway
Whos the pansy now, pansy :spit:
My friend has a 475 with dual cp3s and his motor is stock. I ran twins with duals and it didn't last 2 months. I'd not get the trips and spend it on the motor. Also all u need are rods cut pistons and head studs. I'd do the motor now look at how hard it is for u to wait and it will be more once u blow it I know because more things go wrong. if u know u should build it and everyone says the same why think u will be lucky.
Yes you might be right I'll have to do some more checking with Trent and go from there. Also I won't be running that much fuel so I think I might be safe for a while.
Jake give me a shout tomorrow and we can go over some stuff, but we have talked about this several times, just have to decide how much $$ you arevwilling to spend on "insurance", as your original power goals and what we are building for would ne fine for the stock rods, the pistons are the thing that is anybodys guess as to how long they hold.
I've been living on borrowed time since my truck hit it's first oil change and it still seems to be running good with all stock internals. Others have blown pistns and headgaskets with stock tuning in the first 50 000 miles so really it's a crap shoot. Just gotta decide how far you want to push it until you don't have a choice but to drop the money to fix it/build it right.
Here is how i looked at it: is it cheaper to do the botom end now, and be done with it, or is it cheaper to buy a new block/crank later on when/if your curent block/crank is destroyed by a broken rod or disintegrated piston?
