LBZ Pushrods - 06 vs 07

I have 2 LBZ motors. 1 from an 06 truck and 1 from an 07. Upon taking both motors apart, I found that the 06 push-rods had the oil lubricating holes in them and the 07 ones were solid.

My question is, which are better? Maybe the solid ones are better because of strength? Should I put solid ones in the 06 block? Will everything get properly lubricated on the top end?

The LB7's didnt have hardened rollers on the lifters, so they needed oil to come down through the pushrods and lubricate the rollers/lifters.

Starting with the LLY in 04.5, they made the lifters/rollers hardened, so they didnt need the auxiliary oiling/lubrication. So technically, any 04.5+ duramax (lifters) dont need the pushrods with the holes in them.

The reason a lot of 04.5-06ish duramax's had them anyway was because GM had a surplus of them and so they figured they might as well use them up, even though 04.5+ dmax's dont need them.

So basically, if you are working with LB7 rollers/lifters/dmax, you MUST HAVE the pushrods with holes in them.

If you are working on a 2004.5+ duramax, it doesnt matter which pushrods you use.

Should I use the solid ones for the added strength?
Does it matter which lifters I use if there is a change?
Thanks!

Ben Do aftermarket pushrods have to oil supply hole in them? Will lbz lifters need to be installed into an lb7?
