Looking at a absolutely mint 2007 4 door lbz. Asking 30 and will take 28.... 77k miles, frame looks like it rolled off the lot. No rust. Want to keep my next truck for a while.

Am I crazy?

Location plays a key. Lbzs around here with those miles being around 30k. But aftermarket crap usually makes it harder to sell.

I bet that trans isn't happy

You need to know what trucks in your area go for to determine what it's worth. Depending on the region the truck could go from anywhere between 20 to 35+ but it all depends what someone is willing to pay

Determine what you are willing to pay, start low and do the go above that number.

I have been looking to buy a truck for 1 year, I really don't want to buy a truck with rust and everything on Craigslist has rust unless you shoot for the high dollar ones.

Lbz don't hold there value around new York area, they all rust out, I'm driving South 5-6 hours.

That trans will be tested thoroughly. Put it on the highest tune and see what it'll do/hold.

States that the truck has stock trans tunes by rob

With those mods, and lbz, check to make sure there is not alot of blow by at oil filler cap, because some lbzs with those mods crack pistons on wrist pin center line. And count on needing trans soon, just to allow for that in your offer.

28 seems like a good deal for that many miles.. I'd do it.. Y-bridge piping and turbo would be a couple grand maybe so if was gonna be modding it anyway seems like thatd be a plus..

That's a 30k truck around here if it's in good shape.

It'd be a tough call personally knowing it had marks turbo and some minor goodies. I'd say a lot depends on your end goals and your expectations. I'd imagine it's in need of front end work and a trans is a given. So plan to add some thousands to that price. If at the end spending closer to 35k is worth an '07 with 77k to you, do it.

Fwiw I bought my bone stock '08 15 months ago for $30k and it had 50k on the clock

You guys are killing me lmao.....

All good valid points, I hate the 08-10 and 11-15 series bodies. Or when ever the new body style came out, I really like those

I think a newer lml would be a damn good option but I can't see spending that kind of coin on a truck, 30k would be my absolute Max including tax and all.
I want similar to my lb7 was. Had a modded ihi and built trans with kory's Tuning.

Towed good and all but it had 200k on it and I wanted to get away from the injector issues.
This was my next thought to get a lbz because of the upgrade in injectors and trans. No really big issues to worry aboi

Around here an LBZ with that spec sheet would bring his asking price easily. But a lot of people around here prefer the classic body style trucks over the newer ones. It's common to see a 2011-2013 LML be about the same money as a similarly equipped lbz.......

And as time goes by I see the classic body style trucks holding there value way better then the 2008 and newer trucks. I've seen lots of 2007.5 and newer trucks rusting out bad.

You really could even look for an LLY. A few small fixes and you've got a good running truck as well with minimal possible issues. As many cracked piston LBZ I see I'm a bit Leary of them. Though the 6 speed is a nice improvement.
