OK I have a 2006 LBZ that is showing -512mm3 balancing rate on #8.
What does this actually mean? I know it is well past the +/- 4.
I'm wanting to know if this means the injector is just not working or what?

Fill out your signature so we know whats been done to your truck. Do you have any blow by? Take off your oil filler cap and see how much there is, does your truck have any codes, does it idle rough have you logged the rates before?

Are you saying its -5? Do you have a tune loaded when taking these rates? Have you tried logging with stock tune?

Need more info. Could be injector or could be a piston which is fairly common on the LBZs or could be nothing.

The truck is completely stock. Has 40,000 miles on it. No codes thrown.
I hooked up and check my the injectors rates because it seems to be lacking power while pulling my enclosed trailer. I'm only pulling 5000 or 6000 lbs.
It runs smooth most of the time. I get some clatter once in a while. It idles smooth.

I checked the balance rates and 1-7 were all within +/- 1.7 and 8 was -512.0

I was wanting to know if this means the injector is dead or what. What does a high positive number mean and what does a high negative number mean.

I'll check for blowby.

I'm thinking that has to be a default max (or min. value) that it is defaulting too because of some electrical issue. Just a WAG (wild arse guess) though.

I think the max balance rates is ±12 mm3. Something isn't right if you're getting -512 mm3.

All stock with 40k I would take it in for warranty. -512mm3 something isnt cosher.

Just to clarify what I was trying to say earlier. A balance rate cannot go outside of ±12 mm3, so you are having some sort of problem with EFILive if you are showing a balance rate of -512 mm3.

If all the correct PID's are selected and validated, there ain't much more you can do with EFI is there?
