Ok so I've heard a bunch of different things and am seeing if any one knows the right answer on here. I'm wanting to put a Lbz long block in my lly. I've heard that all you have to do is switch glow plugs, and cut a tooth off the reluctor wheel and I can use my lly injectors in the Lbz long block. Is this true?

There is some info in this thread, it mainly talks about LB7/LLY but there is a little bit of LBZ conversion talk in there. I also believe there is a post about LLY injectors in LBZ heads. Maybe this will help:

Edit: Check this thread out too: http://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37912 Also I'm not sure about the reluctor wheel, I know they are different, but I don't know if cutting off a tooth will work.

Edit #2: This thread also: http://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3693

Ok got it. From what I read I can put the Lbz long block in my lly, put lly injectors in it with bigger o-rings, grind a tooth off the reluctor wheel, and that's it. Thanks for posting those threads!!

Just the cover and trim the reluctor, keep the correct glow plugs for the head
