LBZ in LLY

What's involved in putting the lbz into my lly truck keeping my electronics. I was thinking of using my injectors and intake and basically swapping in the long block lbz and using my electronics?

Just curious, what are you trying to accomplish? I think the LBZ rods are stronger than LLY rods but the LBZ pistons seem to crack easier. I guess the best settup would be the LBZ block and rods with your LLY pistons.

I heard that the rods and bottom end were stronger. Maybe I will just get a set of lbz rods and cut my stock pistons

If your going to that trouble why wouldnt you just go the extra mile with stronger rods?

You can do whatever you want but IMO thats alot of work for not much gain.

I hear ya. I bought a spare motor because mine has blown head gasket and was just planing to drop in the spare but did a comp test and had a low cylinder so I pulled the heads and found a blown head gasket so now I'm considering a full blown rebuild.
