Okay, im about fed up with this trans. Ive got a 07 LBZ with 130k on it. I got EFI Live and a transgo installed about 8 months ago. I started having hard shifting issues about a month after. I thought maybe i had a issue with the transgo so i bought another transgo jr (figured its only $80 ill just put a new one in) i had it installed but a buddy of mine that knows his shit pretty good. hes built quite a few allisons in his day. When i installed the new transgo the check ball in trim valve B on the old kit was stuck in the valve pretty good. had to hit it on the tailgate to get it out so i figured that was the issue.
We installed the new shift kit triple checking both check balls moved freely and were in place. Reset taps and it shifted and drove great for about 4 or 5 days then started to get rough again. Now it shifts rough in all tunes except stock. Stock shifts like a stock truck would. smooth as could be. My other tunes are smooth at first but seem to get more and more harsh over about 50 miles then just continues to stay rough. I have tried leaving it in one tune for a few weeks to no improvement. 4-5 and 5-6 have always been smooth. but 1-2 is sometimes rough and 2-3 and 3-4 is always almost harsh. i would say 95 % of the time it shifts rough enough to where my passengers ask whats wrong with my truck and the other 5% it shifts smooth. Also its not throwing any codes!
Thanks in advance for any input!

My tuner has looked through my tunes a few times and everything seems to look okay he said. Is there Anything in the trans that could cause hard shifting but not throw a code? Internal filter and fluid was changed about a month ago spin on was changed about 3 months ago!

You already said it shift perfectly fine on a stock tune......

Listen to your truck, it's telling you exactly what's wrong.

The tuner should know what is wrong. If not find another tuner.

I forgot it is throwing 2 codes but nothing to do with trans. C0040 right front wheel speed sensor and a U1016 (loss of power control module communication)
Had the u1016 code for a long time though

Wheel speed sensors can cause issues. But it would cause issues on a stock as well. And wheel speed sensors usually cause more issues with downshifts then anything.

Just an update for anyone having similar issues. Wheel speed sensor and a trans relearn for my edge insight cts2 did the trick!
