I have a buddy who messed up and fried his ecm. He was just trying to change out his batteries in his stock ppe tuned lbz 2007. He had a dumbass attack and unhooked the positive lead first and it shorted out against the case of the ecm and you know the rest. Anyhow he bought a new ecm from the dealer and another friend installed it for him. Then they called me to flash a stock file in the ecm. I had a stock 07 lbz file so I flashed it in. The problem he has now is the check engine light is on and code 268 is popping up. I did some reading on this and it states that injector flow rate codes need to be programmed into the ecm. Is this only done with a tech 2 or is there some other work around? Has this happened to any of you before?

Wow never heard of the flow rates needing to be in. When a bullydog unit cooked an lb7 all we did was get a new a ecm from the dealer and flashed in the correct os tune.

Lbz is quite a bit smarter though maybe it needs more info?

Lb7 and lly don't need flow rates programmed. Lbz and new do sometimes. I'm guessing with a new ecm, it will in fact need them flashed in.

You can use your V2 to copy them from the GPCM to the ECM.
