LBZ ECM Confusion

I have an LBZ from a 2006 Sierra 2500HD swapped into a Hummer. It is currently tuned with a DSP5. Because I can't leave well enough alone I'm thinking of trying my hand at tuning, I already have a FlashScan and spare TCM. I'm trying to find an ECM so that I can leave my current setup alone. What I'm confused about is the current ECM is part number 12606126 and it says YNAX. I've been looking and these seem nearly impossible to find. I have found a bunch of 12606127 YNAY. Would I be able to use the YNAY version? What is the difference?

If this has been answered please feel free to point me in the right direction and then flame away.

My thoughts are (tell me if I’m wrong) that it will work and the only difference would be the operating system.

You can buy any LBZ ECM and flash it to your proper OS with an updated file.

I don't know what's on my current ECM because it has a DSP5 OS. I have a Techline Connect subscription for the VIN in the current ECM. I'm assuming I'd do a "replace and reprogram" and then read the calibration using EFI Live and edit that file. Does that sound correct?

Use a GM database to pull the OS for your VIN.

1) Report back (or PM me) with your VIN and I'll send a upload a clean stock current file.
2) Make sure you have an available license on your FlashScan and that GM tuning is purchased/activated.
3) VIN change the new ECM to your truck's VIN if that matters to you, if not skip to step 4.
4) Do a VATS relearn if required.
5) Full flash in the clean stock file provided in step 1.
6) Pull a read and modify away or you can modify the clean stock file provided in step 1.

Just to note, if you purchase a used LBZ ECM with stock calibration already on it, you can change the vin to match yours using EfiLive scan tool without needing a license for that controller
