The LBZ regulator will have a 90 degree angle on the connector. LB7 regulators are straight out away from the pump. I think that's what you were asking.

My LB7 pump has an LBZ regulator on it.:thumb:

The thought of putting the new pump down low had crossed my mind. I've heard so many people say it's very uncommon for pumps to go bad so I figured for my needs/plans the new LBZ pump will pick up the slack to get me by for a while. I know I'm on borrowed time with stock rods and dual pumps is asking for trouble. Here's another question though.... If I ran the single new LBZ pump and it holds rail, won't the party be over that route too? Damned either way right?

depends on what you concider holding rail? i dont know of ANY single lbz pump that could hold 60% overs at 26k desired and 2800uS or more.

Kinda what i was wondering too, would it be to overkill for me? I dont wanna melt er down or anything. And when puttin the LBZ pump on, i use the Z fuel regualter correct?

yes use the z FPR on the second pump if the valley pump has a z FPR on it.

So maybe I should rephrase my question. If I'm close to bending rods with a stock 175 k mile stock cp3, will an LBZ pump send me over the edge?

it could and it couldnt. you wont know that magic number that bends them till its too late. i was running max of 560hp before my rods bent.

No..... We've had a trip planned to go to Moab for wheelin since Feb. and i cant turn around and take another 2-3days off in two weeks to do that. My love for wheelin and the sand dunes surpasses my addiction to diesel fuel :D

My truck must be a freak. LB7 pump and regulator in the valley and lbz pump and regulator for second pump and no issues (well at least with the pumps :spit:).

lol must be, ive heard tuners talk about how hard it can be sometimes. Then again, ive heard of a very few that didnt have to rescale their FPR table for an LBZ reg very much to make it idle right and work just like a stock one
