On a 3500 dually, LB7, whats the limit on weight on rear axle?

Just trying to get some idea of numbers here, package says its limit is 4k lbs, which if you treat it as a 5th wheel/GN, seems to be a lot on the axle. (Package itself prob weighs a good amount by itself)

Ok thats reassuring, so figure even with the package weighing 2k and a full load of 4k, he has a 6k safety left.

Truck itself is too light though, with a car on back it picks the front of dmax right up, gotta get some puller weights up there :roflmao:

It is amazing what you can put on the back of one.

If you are pulling the front tires anywhere near off the ground, you got something seriously jacked up!

To bump this back up, loaded wheel lift with ~3k lb and rear sagged about 2 inches, acceptable? Truck is sans bump stops.

Have air bags in the cab just waiting to install em

I would think 2" of sag is acceptable. To put your mind at ease, when my truck gave up the rear u joint, the wrecker that brought me in was a crew cab Chevy with a wheel lift. He picked up the front of my truck and hailed it 30+ miles with no issue.
