Just curious on the thoughts you guys had on this. truck came from KC originally, in Nebraska now. I thought about buying it if the price is right, but its an 04 LB7 with 200k miles on it. It is very clean, and was BONE stock untill bout 3 months ago, and its not any big mods. new injectors with around 2,000 miles. Never raced or pulled.

Would you guys buy it ? Im not a noob on these trucks, but would be the first lb7 i would consider given 200k miles on it. i have had one before though, with 80k miles and sold at 87k

Opinions please and thanks

they were done by husker i believe. I like how the two posts are from lbz owners lol

Like i said i have had a couple duramaxes but none with that mileage, My LLY rolled 135xxx yesterday and i thought about takin it out back and shooting it.

Then again my other truck has 240xxx miles on it (badass 16valve toyota tacoma)

If the injectors were done right, then there is nothing to worry about. I bought my truck with 210k on the clock, and about 5k on the injectors. It now has 275k+ and everything is fine. Well, 5th gear really hates me, but that is my fault (not stock power).

and no, this will not be a stock lb7 for long. I think it has a gmax and a suncoast converter, but that will be taken out and dropped off at big dipper....again :thumb:

and gmguy, you probably do know what truck it is, i think its still at husker hint hint

I'm right around 190K on mine that's in my BURB. I put a set of head gaskets in it due to some minor weepage in the back under the heads that I seen while I had it out doing teh swap, and put a water pump in it as well while it was out. I did injectors as prevenatative since they had 130K, and wish I would have left the origanals in it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one with that many miles.

my wife's truck with over 200k is as nice a truck as any. It still runs and drives like new. Has had a set of injectors put in it. Stock trans. Stock tune. Just a really nice, dependable truck. Only time it's left us stranded is idler pulleys locking up and breaking the belt. Done that with both pulleys now. So, you might want to switch them before they seize on you if they are the originals. Their life expectancy seems to be 200K +/- 25k miles. :D

Wouldn't hesitate buying a well maintained "high mileage" duramax. Just use your head when checking it out.

Better be a LOT of goodies for one to bring $21k with them kinda miles IMO!!

I'd go for it. I bought mine with 250k of the hardest miles possible (log company work truck) and it ran still. If I'd have caught the injectors sooner it'd probably still be going on the original motor. Bearings and all were great when I tore it down, they're super tough motors. Long as the fuel system is in good shape :thumb:

I would not hesitate Josh i love the lb7s and they are simple to work on EXCEPT the injectors under the valve covers and no smop work needs to be done unless its a cali

I like the lb7 as well, most everything is new on the truck anyways. New front end, batteries, brakes, injectors, all that good junk.

I guess well see what happens.

Thanks for the input guys
