had a little luck tonight. well that and the guy in the viper was an idiot and couldn't drive worth a crap. I got lucky. Pulled him from a roll in my stock LB7. I could smell his clutch lol. my wife got it on video on her cell. Ill try to insert the link. I caught him at the stoplight and asked him what was wrong with his car. He got mad and said "what you wanna go on the freeway at 200?" i denied the offer lol. i continued to talk down on this guy for a minute and asked him how much he paid for the car. $84,000. I asked him where he went wrong. His reply "It's because I'm rich". what a tool. I got a laugh. hopefully you guys can too. sorry again for the rough video, remember its from a cell phone.

Don't get me wrong, I know that with a half retarded decent driver he could have done donuts around me. I run my gsxr 1000 against vipers pretty often and they show up against that. This guy actually tried. He lost from a roll. Not a long race by any means. I caught him at the light and he was pretty hurt but admitted he lost. I'm not dumb enough to brag on a car toying with me. And this is my work truck, I do my fair share of drag racing with my bike and my mustang. This was just a right place at the right time sorta thing.

lol i actually lost my video camera but it was worthless anyway. Ive got a little digital camera i just got from my old lady and i think it has video mode but im not sure how to use it yet. so for now, dark, fuzzy cell phone videos is all it will be :D

But I have to agree, he was toying with you or just didn't care. Unless you caught him in 6th gear at 70mph, where he would be turning like 1200rpm, that car will eat you alive at half throttle.

Then again, he very well could be like 90% of the viper owners who never get their cars over half throttle above 3k rpm without pissing themselves. :eek:

How fast were you going? If he even got on it, he shouldn't have done the 1-2 shift till a c-hair over 60mph.

Yeah he was a tool for sure. young kid too. I wouldn't guess over 22. Granted I'm only 21 but I'm not rich lol and I dont drive a viper. We were doing somewhere near the speed limit which was 45 mph on that street. I could smell clutch so it wouldn't surprise me if he was cruising in 4th gear. Not too bright of a guy and Im glad I got the chance to make him look stupid

My old one. Seemed alot faster then my D-Max but I never ran the Viper down the 1/4 to see for sure.

I love the body style of the older models. The new ones not so much and yeah im sure in the 1/4 your times wouldn't be close between the truck and viper. i was just fortunate enough to get a kid who probably had never driven stick in his life before that night

Saw a viper at the track last night that you'd have a fun time catching. Massive wet shot midway through first, stickies and bangin off 11.1-11.3's all night. Still breaking the tires loose in second, by which time the car was past midtrack. Rolled through the traps miway through 3rd at 124-128 mph. This in a 6 speed car :D.... That should say something for its top end......
