Im wanting to upgrade my turbo. Lookin for a faster spool but I need reliability as well. Dont want to have to rebuild it. Im also wanting to shoot for the 500 rwhp area. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

You can be at 500 HP with a stock turbo and the correct tuning.

As for aftermarket, I LOVE my HTT66/71/16 ss. Others will have other suggestions, but I have played and worked this turbo, and it is fantastic. It has always spooled fast for me, but I put on the up-pipes at the same time I installed the turbo.

Talk to Trent at EPR, he may have some other suggestions for smaller T4 turbos, or maybe something else entirely. I would suggest calling around.

your going to need tuning, transmission & lift pump to get to 500hp
Id stick with the stock turbo, theres 4 things you can do to really wake it up
airhorn, wastegate actuator, up pipes & downpipe

You wont find much out there that spools faster than stock and will still hit your 500hp goal with a single charger.

Lift pump, exhaust and trans will help get you there. Tuning is most important. Done that.

The other stuff is gravy that you add later if 500rw isnt enough....and it usually isnt.
