I talked to a customer 2-3 nights ago up in WI that is running one of my ported/polished IHI's W/stock cast wheel in the valley and box stock 475 over top. It's an 02 crew cab with your standard up grades; tranny, EFI live, exhaust, lift pump, etc.

What he was saying is the ported/polished IHI is night and day compared to the stock IHI. He said it spooled/drove good before but now with the turbo he got from me, he said it's insane how quick is spools!!:woott:

From a stop sign or light when you lay into it, its spooled at the snap of your fingers from how he was describing it to me. He's hoping to get some 1/4 mile times before winter to see the improvement.

James - get off you ass and swap that batmowheel for the stock wheel!!! I think you'll be happy with the result!!!:thumb::woott::hello:

Did you port and polish his, or just the wheel?

hes been bugging me for the past what..... 8 months now? to swap out the batmowheel for the stocker and see if i see better spool up in a twin setup. His test show the stocker by its self has better spool up on the stock wheel over the batmowheel, it just doesnt perform as well on the top end. i just have no motivation to swap the batmowheel back in if i dont like the stock wheel :D

i do believe that when yellow chevy did his test he found that the drop in Wetzel wheel gained him the most power, I currently run a ported n polished ihi with the drop in Wetzel wheel and it spools up awesome and tows the trailer just fine, I am also not to far behind all the built 2.5 chargers

Thanks again for all the info guys, I just keep soaking it in. I think you all have pointed me in a good direction, and I'm pretty much set on going with twins.

On the IHI do you all think its worthwhile going with the Wetzel wheel price wise on top of the port & polish or should I just stick with the stock wheel? It is more reasonably priced than the other wheels I was looking at.

yellowchevy, can you send me some prices on your services, once the new year rolls around and were done with harvest, I should be able to play with the truck a little bit.

I'm running a s366 on stock fuel. Love how it drives, but in all honesty the best bang for reliability and drive is a twin setup. But I couldn't help myself cause the way a single sounds on a duramax....dat sound doe..:D

I really like twins and have been getting the itch to make a kit for my pickup!!

Ported/polished w/wetzel wheel will spool a little slower than a bone stock turbo but pull hard once lite. Ported/polished w/stock cast wheel spools super quick and with talking to a recent customer I would lean towards the stock cast wheel if you're wanting the quickest spool up. If you're wanting more power up top and ok with out instant spool I would lean towards the wetzel wheel. You could also get the best of both worlds and get a ported/polished w/63.5 comp wheel.

Give me a call, send me a text, or pm is the best way to get ahold of me.

The wife and I just bought a new to us home on 20 acres so I'll been swapped with moving and selling ours till end of Februray/March, haha.
Feel free to get in contact with me and I'll answer any questions you've got.

Coming from a guy that tows a trailer that weighs more then most people do with their truck and trailer combined weigh.
I swapped the VVT out for a GT4088R (63.5mm) on my LMM
If towing light ie under 10,000lb.. One could get away with a S366 variant

If over that..twin the stocker with S475/s480
Single turbo setup
Ive heard the sxe363 is a BA little charger along with HTT s364.5 fmw charger. I'd probably do one of those two if I haven't landed a deal on the 4088

The 4088 has put trucks in to 12s dieselon dyno ~620 with one at PPE shortly when they released it with dual cp3
Russ(yellowchevy) has several options for stocker

Congrats on the new home, no worries on timing Feb/Mar will actually be perfect, in the meanwhile I'll be putting together a list of questions I can think of and trying to figure out which wheel I want now :thumb:.

Thanks, It's not the 3,000+ acres I grew up on when we farmed but it's better than being in town.
That will work, I'll do my best to answer and guide you in the right direction.

Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes the best deals are found when you're not looking!
