Having LB7 tuning issues truck is a 2001. I had to change operating system to make the efi live switch properly with edge insight. AC doesn't work with this operating system. Has anyone made the edge work with a 2001 operating system?

You need to get the correct OS to make the A/C work. I'm guessing you're using a 441 OS? If so, try a another one with a CAL flash to see if it makes your A/C work. As to doing it with an 01, don't think it will work, period.

Reflashing to an 01 operating system fixes the ac. For the edge I was running an 15188873 operating system. Anyone have one that my work?

You will now most likely have a change engine oil message that will never go away. There is a warning in the EFILIVE tutorial about NEVER going from an 01 to an 02, and then back, because if you do, it permanently corrupts the change engine oil section of the ECM. And no, there is no known OS that will work with the EDGE and DSP5 for an 01, hence why we all go to an 02 OS.

Ferm maybe I just got lucky a few years back. I had an 02 and sold it. I bought an 01 and put the 02 tune in the 01 and it ran good no oil message light. It did have some fueling issues. Grey smoke pretty heavy. I decided to tune off the stock file that came in the 01 and all is good. I must have got lucky cause I put the 01 tuning back into the 01 in dsp5 format and didnt have an issue.

I went from the 8873 to a 6006, then back, and I know mines stuck on. Don't matter much though as I don't have the new style cluster with a DIC, so I don't see it to bug me. Know a few others with newer trucks that flashed in the 01 OS, and were stuck with the change engine oil message afterwards.

I do get a check engine oil level message that intermittently comes and goes. Oil psi and level are good. I haven't bothered to troubleshoot it yet lol.
