I have a 2004 LB7 that i snapped my crack in so i got a really good deal on a 2004.5 LLY. What all do I need to do with the wiring harness to get this to swap. Also I plan on rebuilding my original motor would it be worth turning into an LBZ LLY or LB7?

The truck side LLY harness from the 4.5 doesn't need to be modified by anyone, just plug it in (03-04 are plug n play). Along with the ecm/ficm from the lly. If you do a relearn then you can start it but your fuel gage will read backwards. Both of these issues can be addressed by tuning the lly ecm. You will also need an lly nsbu switch as it is different then the lb7 one.

Let me know if you need any of these parts or tuning, I can make it happen.

As far building the other motor, guess that all depends on what parts you have available and what budget your working with. Also, where would it end up? back into your 04? or use for something else.........

So I do not use any of my LB7 computer but the harness from the LB7 will plug into the lly ecm/ficm? Yes I believe I need tuning amd the nsbu

The truck side harness end for both LB7 and LLY are physically the same, they'll plug in under the main fuse box in the engine compartment on top of the inner fender (driver side). So yes, the LLY harness will plug into your trucks fuse box, along with a few other connectors, all of them will plug into the corresponding original connectors under the fuse box. Your LB7 computers will not work with the LLY.

So just to be clear, you will need the LLY motor, ECM/FICM, engine harness (should come with the motor and be attached to it), LLY truck side harness and LLY nsbu.

If you are using the tranny that comes with the LLY then you will not need a new nsbu as that tranny will already have the right one.
