Taking a long story short I recently blew my head gaskets in my 04 LB7, for the second time. Haven't had a pressure test or sure indicator that a head gasket or gaskets are blown but upper radiator hose is hard in the mornings and pressure in the coolant tank as well as blowing coolant out of the tank at operating temp. Two years ago the truck blew a gasket at 330k~ so I fixed it with proper gaskets as well as ARP studs. Fast forward to 385k miles and last weekend same symptoms as before. My question is what does it take and how much roughly would it cost to convert my LB7 to a LLY? From my research I need is LLY heads, injectors and ECM, is that everything? Cost wise it seems the basic repair is around 4500-5k. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You will need to entire top of the motor, heads and up from there. Including ecm and ficm. You will also need the truck side harness that plugs into the ecm/tcm and an Lly nbsu switch.

An entire Lly engine would be best as stated above. You'll also need to have the ecm flashed so your fuel gage will work properly.

Or you can reverse the tables on the tube for the fuel gauge
