So I recently replaced my NSBU cause it went out. pretty straight forward, truck drives fine now.

My dilemma is when the truck is in gear there is about 3-4 inches of play up and down in the shift selector. anyone have any remedies for this?

Was it doing that before you worked on it?

I suspect you did not install the cable or linkage properly. Re- trace your steps and if need be; go look at another Dmax setup. Should be easy.

Theres also a chance you forgot to put the metal u clip in that holds the cable in place. Without it the cable pops lose and gets alot of play, or if you push it to fast teh cable comes loose and won't shift.
