It has airbags. That's just the lowered position. You couldn't drive it like that.
I am terrible about taking progress pics, but I will take pictures of the finished product and will be happy to answer any questions the best I can.
I guess I never posted pictures of this thing after we got finished with it, but we finally got done with it in April last year after struggling with the shoddy work from the previous shop that actually installed the motor. Anyway, the owner wanted to make it a little more radical, so we added a 475 over the top of his stock turbo. I'm taking it to a guy I know with a plasma table tomorrow to build a brace that goes between the factory downpipe flange and the T4 flange on the 475. It is pretty solid as it is, but I don't want the heat and vibration to cause one of the pipes to crack and break. It's more for looks than performance, but it should add a little pep in its step on the rare occasion it does get driven.
PS, please excuse the mess. We're in the middle of reorganizing the side of the shop I was working in, and I was so excited about getting it finished, I didn't even clean up the mess I made while I was working before taking the pictures.

Something I forgot to mention that I'm pretty proud of, check out the lack of visible wires and the smooth valve covers. Both took a lot of time, but I think they really made the engine look a lot cleaner and more mechanical.
We extended the harnesses and routed them to the valley. They are under they Y-bridge, and there is a single bale connector on top of the bellhousing. The wires are wrapped in high heat reflective wire wrap and run out under the turbo. We deleted every sensor and wire that wasn't required to make it run. It has cam and crank sensors, ECT sensor, FRP regulator, and injector wires. The FICM was relocated inside the car with the ECM and TCM, so we were able to eliminate over half the wires going through the bale connectors on a normal LB7.
Clean, nice job! Some ProFab headers (stainless) and up-pipes would be cool too. The hidden wiring makes for such a clean look.:cool2:
Beautiful job, but the second turbo was too over the top, (no pun intended)it looked really clean the first go around.
No doubt the second turbo is way over the top, but he wanted to make the car look a little more outrageous than it was. We're going to coat the pipes and housings so they blend a little better with the car and make the turbo look not quite so out of place. I think the brace I have the guy building will also tie it together a little better and make it all look a little more cohesive.
